Product Performance
201BA stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel originally developed to save nickel.
It has similar properties to 301 and 304 stainless steel, with good ductility, corrosion resistance and formability. This alloy is not hardenable by heat treatment, but can be cold worked to high strength levels. Annealing of 201 BA stainless steel can be performed at temperatures between 1850° F (1010° C) and 2050° F (1121° C) followed by air cooling.
